  因應能源價格上漲,航空運輸的價格也不斷上升,航空公司為了降低成本,首先考慮直接作業成本支出(Direct Operation Cost, DOC) 。為了減少運載單位乘客的成本,已研發出超大型航空器如A380 等機型。然而為了追求更低的運輸成本和更高的效率,只加大機型是不夠的,由圖1 中可以看出傳統構型飛機的最佳大小約在650 人上下,若欲更進一步壓低成本,則需要根本改變航空器外形以增加飛行效率進而節省燃油,其中與飛行翼(Flying Wing)相似的翼胴合一飛行器(Blended-Wing-Body, BWB)之設計概念便成為未來必然的型態選擇。…<詳全文>
Design of an experimental microsatellite TUUSAT-1B

      This paper presents the design of a 30 kg class experimental microsatellite TUUSAT-1B by a group of professors and students from 5 universities in Taiwan. It was more than 10 years ago the Taiwan Universities-United Team (TUUT) devoted to the microsatellite development was organized by a small group of professors and students coming from several domestic universities. At the beginning, TUUT established the basic technologies required for microsatellite development using very limited resources of manpower and budget under the support of the National Science Council (NSC) of Taiwan. Then the National Space Organization (NSPO) of Taiwan supported TUUT to develop and manufacture the Taiwan Universities-United Satellite No. 1A (TUUSAT-1A) from 2005 to 2007. Preliminary Design and Simulation of Reflected Shock Tunnel in Taiwan

      This work aims to report the part of preliminary design of a reflected shock tunnel which will be built and tested at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in year 2009. Notably, this tunnel will be the first ground test facility for hypersonic flow in Taiwan. The design objective of reflected shock tunnel is to produce two free-stream conditions for a preliminary study of scramjet: (1) Mach 2 flow with temperature up to 1300 K and pressure up to 1 atm. for the design conditions of supersonic combustion and (2) Mach 5 flow for the design condition of external flow. In this work, the compressible multiphase flow solver is used to investigate the near-tailored condition and stagnation properties under different initial conditions in helium-air shock tube.…<詳全文>
